专家简介: Haibing Sun received the M.S. degress in atmospheric physics  from the Nanjing Institute  of  meteorology, Nanjing Jiangsu, China in 1995 and Ph.D degree in atmospheric physics from Institute of atmospheric physics , Chinese academy of science in 1998. Since 2002, he has been a senior research scientist in QSS/Peot system/Dell/riverside/IMSG  working for the Center for Satellite Applications and Research(STAR), NOAA Satellite and Information Service (NESDIS), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. His area of expertise include the radiative transfer model, satellite instrument calibration and  satellite data processing. He developed and implemented the real time on orbit satellite observation simulation system to support the AIRS/ AMSU/ HSB , IASI/AMSU/A-B and CrIS/ATMS near real time processing system development in NESDIS and the observing system simulation experiment (OSSE). Since 2007, he has worked on the satellite observation collocation/integration algorithms. The satellite collocation/integration algorithm is applied to develop the integrated satellite observation set including the satellite observation from  different sensors and platforms(GEO/LEO). The collocation products derived from the algorithms (AIRS/MODIS, IASI/AVHRR ,CrIS/VIIRS et al) are used in operation and research application.
